Salāmiyyah

Tariqa Salāmiyyah (Ṭarīqah Salāmiyyah al-Jāmiʿah al-ʿAmaliyyah) is an integral method and outlook that is being developed by Shaykha Ramala Hubb’Allah, an integral thinker, teacher, systems architect and orientation guide.

This teaching and outlook stems from Shaykha Hubb’Allah’s lifelong belief that for inner and outer excellence, a human life needs to be centered, concentrated, attentive and integrated (put together). In the inner realms this produces the collection and harmony of the psyche. In the outer realms, this produces reduction of conflict and distress, better relations, reduced ecological footprint, reduced cost and burden of living, and greater peace in the world—all factors being the most urgent needs of the modern human.

The key body of work in regard to this aspiration is The Salaam Matrix, a tool for the organization and integration of the whole self.

Meaning of Salaam

Named after one of the Sacred Good Names of Allah (God), and also the Muslim greeting “Salaam”, the Salaam in Tariqa Salāmiyyah means “wholeness, integration (of psyche parts), and centeredness that leads to peace”, as interpreted and defined by Shaykha Ramala Hubb’Allah.

It refers to a human being whose dimensions are not at war with or severed from one another.

Ramala believes that the modern human, especially the “believer” (in the Abrahamic tradition) needs to be a master of realms inner and outer, and that their person in the world is a meeting point of the inwards (unseen) and the outer (seen) realm. While she is a great proponent of remaining contemporary, informed, connected, practical and grounded, Shaykha Ramala also believes and asserts that the modern human has forgone, avoids, or has been shut off from the deeper, inwards realms of the Psyche and the personality, and that this not only reduces the quality of experience humans have in the world, but also, this leads to exploitation and disease in the outer world as humans seek to attain in the outer what was supposed to be obtained within.

The human is also a shepherd and guardian of their whole self, which, Hubb’Allah reminds, has parts, aspects and stages. Not understanding these parts and gradations of the Self is keeping humans sick, confused, fearful, diseases, in conflict and under-expressed.

The Integration Path is first and foremost a gathering of the Self, and honoring its various parts, stages, desires, and even conflicts.

In the outward realm, this means a greater openness to the experiences and phenomenon of the world, and embracing of diversity of phenomenon.

Closely related to these matters is the intense neurodiversity and expressions of humankind.

Once considered problematic, rebellious or a disease, neurodiversity is in fact not only a human gift but a necessity of the forms within human. Without diversity, we can neither operate nor flourish as a specie because each human person and group are parts of the whole, and our diversity reflects the variation of our parts. This is not a handicap, this is exactly how it was meant to be.

Therefore, a focus on human talents and neurodiversity, and the relation of the mind to the construction and experience of reality is a key concern in Ramala Hubb’Allah’s work. The key beneficiaries of this work are children, the education field, career pursuits and humans facing distress due to suppression of their uniqueness.

Ramala not just believes that persons should integrate their own beings but that humans are parts of a collective larger body, and our coming together (integration with one another through acceptance of our diversity) with unlock humanity as a super organism. This is one of the many secret meanings of SALAAM, a deeply rich Name and attribute of Divinity.

The secret of the Muslim greeting Salaam is that not only are we blessing individuals with the prayer that their individual self be centered, resolved, present and healed, but that we are deeming them a part of the Collective, thus granting one another inclusion and belonging.

Subhan’Allah (Praise be to Allah).

Meaning of Salāmiyyah al-Jāmiʿah al-ʿAmaliyyah

The full name of the Tariqa, Salāmiyyah al-Jāmiʿah al-ʿAmaliyyah, refers to not just the intent (Salaam) of being a collected human being and specie, but the method of it (Jāmiʿah)—while Amaliyyah teaches that the entire enterprise of being gathered, rooted, harmonious and centered is to be put into practice as an active citizen in the 21st century.

Shaykha Ramala Hubb’Allah does not seek to turn people into contemplatives residing in their caves and cubicles, but centered and purposeful human beings who gather to practice the ways of life and being communicated to humanity from what is called Divinity—or at the very least, through our innate design and the calculation of what is good for us as a specie.

Salāmiyyah tells us what the path is oriented toward.

Jāmiʿah tells us something about how broad and integrative the path is: it gathers things ordinarily separated.

Inner + outer.
Spiritual + material.
Individual + relational.
Economic + ecological.
Contemplation + worldly responsibility.

Ramala frowns upon the attitude of “waiting for God”, of deferring responsibility and accountability, of acting as though a mysterious force will correct our affairs later on in time, or of “putting the mind on the autopilot”. She believes that humans have the right, duty and mandate to assume charge of our affairs now and run the world correctly. She asserts that we are now living in times where we not only have good intent and aspirations, but also the knowledge, technology, tools and skills to deliver a quality and virtuous lives to human beings as well as our human duty to Planetary life.

According to Shaykha Ramala, our failures in this regard are largely of our own making, and even the “mysterious force” are just humans on a distance of space and time! She asserts that this has been hinted amply in the Sacred Texts, which are, amongst other things, not only cosmologies and guidance of the path, but also, they are speaking of Systems Theory and how to live our lives “in the game/reality called Dunya”.

Tariqa Salāmiyyah has been many years in the making without a name or form. It is being formalized by Shaykha Ramala, on her own initiative, and guided by an inspiration within as well as hints and revelation in dreams and over the course of her life. Tariqa Salāmiyyah has been named in the Autumn of 2026, the same time as when Ramala Hubb’Allah has assumed the title of Shaykha. She does not have formal idhn from any Sufi teacher, does not take any mureeds, and has no bayyah. She is focused on the codification of the system (Tariqa) and laying down its canon. She believes in public disbursement of teachings, and empowering humanity systematically. She does not assume responsibility over anyone’s usage, misuse, understanding, misunderstanding, practice or malpractice of her tariqa. Her canonical work can be found on her websites and in her published writings. She sometimes expressed opinions on social media that do not represent the Tariqa and pertain to her being human with a capacity of folly.

There are no mureeds (students, followers); you are supposed to understand the outlook and practice it to the best of your capacity. Do the best that you can. She herself is a student of her own Tariqa and strives to practice it!

The protocols of the Tariqa are in development. Stay connected to learn more.
