Work, the nature of work, its impact on one’s inner and outer life, and the design of work—all these have mattered to Shaykha Ramala Hubb’Allah who has at once a fluid and imaginative, and a methodical mind. In her mind, the business-person and the family woman triple tango with the artist.
As she exited the corporate world in 2005, she was nearing the realization that work is better understood as a series of projects. By now, she understands that her personality was always multidimensional and cyclic, and that she works in various fields of concern in her life. Her model, The Salaam Matrix, posts that a more maturer and fuller human being lives a four-dimensional life: Spiritual, Personal-Familial, Socioeconomic, and Ecological-Political.
Consequently, she sees that her own projects have been spanning and striding all these realms.

She does not believe in abandoning creation or one’s duty within the realm of Earth as an aware and conscious human being; and she believes that the sense of “duty” emerges from one’s ability to be of service to the world around them.
